21-Day Sleep Program

Twenty-one nights in real homes. Up to 50 selected participants in the United States will live with Lume in their normal routines and share what honestly happens.

Why we're running this

Science explains why light may matter. Real life shows where it fits.

People spend their nights differently—in different homes, around different screens, schedules, lighting, and routines. General science helps us understand how light can signal time to the body, but it cannot tell us exactly how Lume fits into those lives.

So Owlnest is bringing the question into real nighttime environments. This is structured participant research based on product use and self-reported feedback—not a clinical trial, medical research, diagnosis, or treatment.

What we want to understand

Who finds Lume useful, in what situations, and under what nighttime habits?

01
What light and screen environments are already part of a person’s evening?
02
When and where does Lume naturally enter a nighttime routine?
03
Do participants continue choosing to use it—and what shapes that choice?
04
What feels useful, unclear, inconvenient, or simply not relevant?
05
Which nighttime contexts appear most relevant across different lifestyles?
06
Where does Lume not appear useful, and what can that teach us?
Who we're looking for

A useful mix of real nighttime lives.

Screen habits

People whose evenings often include a phone, computer, or both.

Late schedules

People who work late or follow irregular nighttime routines.

Home lighting

People who currently rely on bright overhead or general room lighting at night.

Intentional evenings

People trying to create a calmer nighttime environment at home.

Full participation

People in the United States who can participate for all 21 days.

Honest feedback

People willing to say what worked, what did not, and what felt neutral.

How it works

Four stages, from application to reflection.

  1. 01

    Apply

Applicants complete the official Google Forms application when applications open. It will ask about everyday nighttime routines and the ability to take part for the full 21 days.

  2. 02

    Selection

Owlnest reviews applications to build a useful mix of nighttime lifestyles and contexts. This is participant selection, not a medical evaluation.

  3. 03

Live With Lume for 21 Days

Selected participants use the sleep-spectrum lamp during their normal nighttime routine, following the program guidance without turning life into a laboratory.

  4. 04

    Share Honest Feedback

Participants complete scheduled check-ins and describe what actually happened. Positive feedback is welcome, but it is never required.

The 21-day timeline

A simple rhythm for noticing real life.

Day 0

Baseline

Record the nighttime routine and environment before regular Lume use begins.

Day 7

First check-in

Share early usage patterns, practical friction, and first impressions.

Day 14

Second check-in

Notice what has become routine, what has changed, and what has not.

Day 21

Final reflection

Describe the full experience, including usefulness, limitations, and uncertainty.

Honest results
We’re not looking for positive reviews. We’re looking for honest results.
Positive

If Lume is genuinely useful in a situation, that matters.

Neutral

If the difference feels limited or unclear, that matters too.

Negative

If Lume does not fit a person, habit, or context, that remains a valid result.

Variation is expected. Participant feedback helps Owlnest learn about real-world product fit; it does not automatically establish clinical proof. No program results or conclusions are being presented yet.

Application infrastructure in preparation
Application status

Applications opening soon.

The official Google Forms application is being prepared. When it is ready, every Apply button on this page will open the same application. No custom application account or website questionnaire is required.
